(At BHC in Bassett:) "A Few Lines to Margaret: A Personal Account of the First World War"

(NOTE: This program will be held in the Bassett Historical Center at 3964 Fairystone Park Highway in Bassett.) Experience the emotional depth of America’s involvement in World War One through a series of 45 letters from a local soldier to his wife. These frontline love letters reveal the humor, dedication, tragedy, and love of the Lost Generation while giving a fresh perspective on the conflict that, 100 years later, remains deeply personal. Come join Hunter Haskins, Assistant Director of the Salem Museum in Salem, Virginia, as he brings the story of the Paschals back to life. This program which will be Tuesday, May 20, at 10:30am is open to the public and will be held in the Susan L. Adkins Memorial Meeting Room.
