Mr. and Mrs. E.M. Clark of Critz were looking for the owner of a goat which had run amuck on their property, and they engaged the help of the Patrick County Sheriff’s Department. The billy goat terrorized 18 head of beef cattle in two pastures, running them all over four different pastures. In their panic the cattle knocked down several fences and ran right through barbed wire. The farmer estimated that they ran so much they lost at least $200 worth of weight, and five cows were still missing. Then the goat headed into a barn that had several pieces of furniture inside. Mr. Clark shot the goat before it could damage that furniture.
