Sounds on the Square 2026 Premiere: Andy Burnette Trio

Yes! The area’s favorite Friday night event is back: Sounds on the Square, held on the first Friday of the warm months at the Martinsville-Henry County Heritage Museum.

The Andy Burnette Trio, a favorite local hit music cover band known for their high energy, funky grooves and good times, will open the series with a concert from 7-10 p.m. The concert will be held on the courtyard of the MHC Heritage Museum, the restored former Henry County Courthouse, at 1 E. Main St., Martinsville. Bring a blanket or lawn chair to sit on the lawn, or sit at one of the tables which will be set up. Admission to the concert is free, and as a special for concert-goers, admission to the museum is half price for the entire day and until 9:30 p.m. ($5 general; $2.50 kids and seniors).

Scuffle Hill Brewery will sell varieties of their popular locally produced craft beers and wine.

The Andy Burnette Trio is a high energy, crowd-pleasing, good time band from Martinsville, Virginia. The Trio is in constant demand, performing over 120 shows a year in venues all across the region. Audiences hear everything from 70s soul, to 80s and 90s rock, pop, country, southern rock, blues, and funk. There is literally something for everyone at an Andy Burnette Trio show.
