27th Annual Uptown Martinsville Oktoberfest Arts and Crafts Festival
Saturday, October 17, 2009 (10:00 AM-4:00 PM) music till 7PM - The Festival is a street carnival with something for everyone. Featured will be artisans and crafters from Virginia and North Carolina, as well as from the local artisan community. There will be many food vendors and carnival rides. A wide variety of musical styles will be performed; including jazz, bluegrass, country, rock, and gospel, and dance performers. The music will be in the Bridge Street and Main Street Parking areas. Art by students from the Martinsville School System, K-12, will be on display. The Martinsville-Henry County Historical Society will have the Courthouse Building open with several Historical displays and tours available for visitors.
