Courthouse Restoration Completed

Our dream for 14 years has finally come true. The Historic Henry County Courthouse has been fully restored and repurposed for the community. The courthouse is now the home of the Martinsville-Henry County Historical Society. A majority of the building is now the Martinsville-Henry County Heritage Center and Museum. We are preparing exhibits in preparation for a grand opening.   Visitors are welcome to see the beautiful restoration work whenever it is open. Volunteers are scheduled at the present time to host visitors on Thursdays and Fridays from 1 PM to 5 PM and Saturdays from 12 PM to 4 PM.

We are looking for volunteers to be at the courthouse so that it can be open for longer hours and more days. If you or anyone you know is interested in volunteering, please call our Executive Director, Debbie Hall at 276-403-5361. No experience or history knowledge is required.
